Although from the photos of family albums smiled at me my maternal Grandfather's German Shepherds and the Rough coat Collies of my father’s family, my own dog actually arrived when I was already twelve years old.
The wait was long and very painful for a little girl who had practically always preferred animals to dolls and cute dresses. I remember as if it were yesterday that September of 1980 when picked up in my own arms for the first time Anette Cesi, the female medium apricot Poodle. From that moment on I never gave up having the company of a dog.
The first litter of the Poodles with the affix HANCIN KVET ( Hana’s flower) was born in 1983. Destiny wanted that a medium black and dwarf fawn and black Poodles also arrived at my home, Shih Tzu and Smooth Fox Terrier and therefore other litters were born. The litters were perhaps just a few but always well ponderated.
My dogs are full-fledged family members and the only difference between me and them lies in the number of legs. Every dog that becomes part of my life remains by my side until the end of its days and I always feel a huge gratitude for the love received from them.
Right from the beginning I also entered the dog show world that I attend even today although I’m no longer a young handler. Showing dogs, plus if they are bred by me, makes me proud and happy. For now, my dogs and I have hung on the wall the championships of many European countries and the titles of the European and World winner.
In order not to miss anything, in 1996 I became the FCI judge for my own breed, the Poodle. Today I judge all breeds of groups 9, 4, 3. Right now I’m working on studying group 5. I have the experience to judge speciality show, national, international, European shows and I’m proud to have received the invitation to judge at a world level.
For me, the dog show will always remain a very important meeting and the place for zootechnical checks and in my judging I never forget the “why” of the existence of the breed I have in front of me.
My desire today is to continue to still be a part of the dog world for a long time to come and to enjoy successful breeding, and to have still the possibility showing and judging that incredibly unique living being…the dog.
