About me:
I'm Marjon Franke and live in Hengelo, in the eastern part of the Netherlands.
Wanting to breed with dogs is in my genes, my grandfather and greatgrandfather where
famous breeders of the "Heidewachtel" or small Munsterlander.
I live there with my partner and son. My profession is chemical engineer at KLK Kolb Specialties. KLK Kolb manufactures surfactants, paper process chemicals and other chemical specialties.
When I was looking for a dog, I looked for a dog who companies me beside my horse. And after reading lots of books about dogs, the Rhodesian Ridgeback seemed the right dog. And after meeting a Rhodesian Ridgeback “live” I didn’t have no doubts no more.
So in 1993 I got my first Rhodesian Ridgeback; Boikanyo. Bred in the Netherlands
His breeder wanted me to show him, but he didn’t like the showring at all.
But I liked the showring, so I wanted a showdog. I was lucky to have the pick of the litter from an excellent litter. So came Kianga Dagmar in my life. I couldn’t wish for more in a dog.
He gained 10 titles multiple BIG and a BIS 4. And his temperament was so great, very loyal to people, a true friend.
In 1999 I registered my kennelname "Musanga". At that time, I only had 2 males
but I knew I wanted to continue the lines of Multichampion Kianga Dagmar "Kian"
I started breeding in 2002 with a daughter of Kian; ch. Musanga “Sanga”.
I wanted to continue with him in mind, dogs with a great stable temperament, very loyal to people
a good construction and health.
Judging:
After teaching and judging over 15 years dressage in horses, I naturally followed the same path with dogs.
I attended my first judging course in 1998. To get my judging license for the Rhodesian Ridgeback I had to wait until 2009 when the Rhodesian Ridgeback Club Netherlands organized a judging exam for the breed. I had no intention to judge another breed, the Rhodesian Ridgeback is my passion.
I’m really looking forward to judge at the Euro dogshow 2025.
Yours sincerely,
Marjon Franke
