I have been a judge for 20 years, with my first breed being the Whippet, which my family has been breeding since 1974, followed by Group X. I now judge Groups 4, 7, 9, and 10, as well as the Junior Handling competition, which I have also judged at the European and World dog shows. I really enjoy this competition, and I believe it is important for preparing the future generation.
In my civilian life, I am a veterinarian at a family clinic and simultaneously work as a researcher at the Czech University of Life Sciences (ČZU). At home, we have Whippets, German Shorthaired Pointers, and Dachshunds. I am the third breeding generation out of four, with my son representing the Czech Republic in the Junior Handling competition at Crufts.
I also work for the FCI, where I am a member of the mandatory commission – the Scientific Commission. In addition to this work, I judge Coursing and Greyhound racing. Animals, especially dogs, have accompanied me throughout my life.
